I was set for induction on Tuesday 1/23/18, which would have been 38+1 with my di/di boys. I was sure that I would make it to that day. On Monday 1/22/18 at exactly 38wks, I woke up at 1:00a.m. to use the restroom and saw lots of blood in the toilet. 😟 totally freaked me out, yelled at my husband we have to go! I had no idea what the heck just happened, I called my doc and she told us to rush into the hospital. So we did, they checked my cervix, I was still 3cm dilated which had been the same for 3 days. Also got an ultrasound and babies and placentas were just fine. Condsidered the blood my cervix changing, then they tested to see if my water had broke and it did. The day went on until 1p.m. and I was still only dilated at 3cm! They gave me pitocin and doc checked the membrane and he said it was still there and went in and popped the rest of baby a’s sac. From then on the contractions were one after another and super strong. The doctor finally came back in at 7p.m. I was dilated to 10cm! Go time! The nurse had me practice push for a half hour, checked me and said stop pushing we need to go to the OR. Stop pushing! Lady this baby is ready to come out! Pushed for ten more min in the OR and baby a arrived at 7:30p.m. Thinking and hoping that right after baby b would arrive, nope I was wrong! Baby b went back up into my ribs and my cervix began to close. I had to push again for 2 1/2 hours! I didn’t think I could do it anymore, I was at my ends wit.  BUT I DID, I gave everything possibly in me and kept going. Baby b arrives at 9:45p.m. Both babies healthy and strong! I did have lots of blood loss, and diagnosed with preeclampsia after labor. But all is good and we left the hospital two days later :)
