I'm not a nanny but we have stayed other places and had my daughter sleep in the pack and play. We always try to make it as dark as possible. We bring her sound machine. And we've created a nap time routine. It take about 5 minutes but now she knows that it's time to sleep after. We so diaper, sleep sack, then she gets her bunny, 1 book, 1 song, sound machine, lights out and in bed. It's really helped. We've always used a sheet from home but you could try putting putting something under the sheet that smell like home or you.

So I nanny too! We go to their house, they got a crib and mattress off Craig’s list and set it up in their bedroom-she hates pack and plays so I was very thankful for that! We brought a sheet, blanket and lovely from our house. We use our sound machine from home-planning to buy a second because it’s getting annoying going back and forth. I would just take it slow, my biggest advice is to facilitate the nap. I do a cup of milk 30 min before, a diaper c hanger then we all read books. Then I lay her down and leave the room. Unless she is really losing the I leave her in there till “nap time” is over. Which is from 1-230, if they sleep late we leave them, but we don’t get them out before that unless they let us know they “really” need us.
