Twins!?

Question

Random question but has anyone ever tried to conceive twins naturally and were successful? Or is it really just by chance? :) I would love twins with my next pregnancy! :)

Answer

It's not something you can TRY for. It happens one of two ways - either the mother's body releases two eggs instead of one, and they BOTH get fertilized, or one egg gets fertilized and then splits into two identical eggs.  You can't do anything to make that happen naturally.

I think it's more of a chance thing. Your odds are definitely heightened if twins/triplets/etc run in your family though

I am a triplet and I have twin girls I'm 16 yrs old now

It's by chance I'm a twin I got 4 kids and none of them are twins and none of my brothers or sisters had twins either
