Clearblue OPK??

So I tried OPKs for the first time ever and I feel like I did it wrong. I got 3 days of blinking smileys and then two days of blank circles. Does that mean I didn’t ovulate? Just trying to understand this opk thing...

From what I have read the blinking smileys are high fertility and once you get a non blinking smiley that means your at peak fertility and it won’t change for 48 hours if I understood correctly.

I tell everyone to ignore the directions on this and test in the evening. OH peaks around 5pm for most women so only testing am you can miss it.
