Where would you have your baby First Bday party at?

I rented a little pavilion at a really nice park/playground. It was perfectly low key and the bonus was that I didn’t have to have people in my house overstaying their welcome.
Chuck-e-cheese is a pit of filth and not only is that a terrible venue for a one-year-old (one year olds can’t play games!) but all parents will hate you too for making you go to that ring of hell. I’m sorry if I’m being too blunt but I was just at CEC this past weekend for a 5th birthday and my skin was crawling. Especially with it being flu so bad this year. No way.

A lot of people I know rent a hall & it’s this big production. I think that’s more for the parents than the baby. Baby isn’t going to remember it... “but they’ll see the pictures” is the argument I always hear from those who go balls to the wall for the first party.

I threw a big party for my one-year-old and guess what she did the entire time she slept all the way through her party! it's less stressful just to have it at your house so that way when she does eat cake you can give her a bath or change her clothes much easier.

My So and I agree for now that we won’t throw birthday parties for our kids until they’re in school and have friends to invite and are old enough to remember. We had professional pictures taken for her 1st birthday with a smash cake and what not. The day of her birthday we wanted to take her to the zoo but it was pouring down rain so we had to settle for the Disney store and dinner just the three of us. My in-laws think this is terrible so they’re doing a party for her at a local restaurant with my husbands side of the family. However to answer your question as long as there’s not a ton of people I’d say at your home would be best, I think Chuck E. Cheese could be overwhelming for a 1 year old. I assume your paying for the party so go with what makes you happy and gives you the least headache. Don’t feel pressured to do something you don’t want to do.

Me and my partner come from big families so we didn’t have room to have my sons party at home. We hired a church hall for 2.5 hours and it was perfect :) 
We had a ball pit and some children’s toys to keep the kids entertained & snacks and nibbles for the adults!

I think it depends on who you're inviting. If a bunch of small children are coming, I wouldn't have it at my house. If it's just adults, it may be easier to have it at home.

Me personally I don’t celebrate birthday with party i just take them somewhere like mu older son he always wants to go to daytona beach fl so that is what we do

We are having it at my parents church hall bc our house is too small. But the church has a second room he can sleep w in and a huge sink i can bathe him in. We’re bringing a pack n play with us.

Our church. It was big enough to accommodate everyone since half my family doesn't get along.
