emergency contraceptive pills

Bf and I had unprotected sex, i felt a pump from him. But he said he didn’t cum. When he pulled out and quickly did a hand job. And there was a drop of cum. I freaked out, which made him a bit scared. I took the emergency pills within 24 hrs, (2 hrs after it happened). I haven’t been getting any side affects from it beside cramps. Are these emergency pills affective? Or am I just overthinking?
