Pap smear? 15 weeks

So I have a doctors appointment on Friday for a Pap smear I’ll be 15 w. Is it ok to not want I one? I’m a little nervous about it.

Girl, if you’re nervous about a smear then what are you going to be like during child birth! 
Smears are super easy - the device they use to take the ‘smear’ is like a toothbrush and doesn’t  hurt, it feels slightly weird but not painful. And the speculum they use to open the vagina is a lot smaller than a penis! (Plus they warm the lube up 😉)
Please get your smear done ❤️ I found out at 23years I had grade 3 changes to the cells on my cervix and had to have an operation to get them removed. If I hadn’t have had my smear, those cells could have easily developed into something worse. 
If you don’t get your smear before the baby then please, please make sure you get it done as soon as baby is born. (my doc has advised me I wait until baby is born before I get my annual smear done)

I had my first Pap smear at 12 weeks and I was so nervous. It really wasn’t bad though and it was super quick. Pap smears are pretty important. They say you should get them at 21 years old and then every 3 years. It tests for pre-malignant or malignant cells on the woman’s cervix and can detect cervical cancer. It wasn’t bad at all though!

Depends on how recent your last pap smear was & sexual history - I opted out because I’m in a monogamous relationship and my pap smear last year was normal.

It’s totally safe to have pap during pregnancy.. Imans pretty typical I think.. my doc did one at 12 weeks pregnant...

My mid wife asked if I wanted one now or after the baby and I opted for now. That was 4 weeks ago there was no problem was fast and doesn’t effect the baby. I was nervous to.
