I’ve been dating my boyfriend for almost 4 years now. I rarely get a compliment from him. I’m very insecure and have struggled with body image issues in the past. I brought the subject up to him yesterday and he told me that I was beautiful. I hate that I have to confront him about feeling ugly for him to compliment me... this is not the first time we’ve had this talk. Whenever I send him intimate pictures he just says “looking good” or “I like them”. I don’t ever get any thing more detailed and meaningful than that. I don’t know. I’m really upset and don’t know what else to do. I’m feeling really resentful towards him right now because of it.
