Mixing formulas!?!

My daughter had diarrhea and was put on a soy based formula Prosobee and I don’t like it. ( idk why but I just don’t like it) she was on Gentlease and I want to transition her back to it and her pediatrician recommended mixing both formulas! I gave her an ugly look because they’re both very different formulas.. has anyone heard from their doctors about mixing formulas? How safe could it be?

We do part soy part regular (Gerber soothe and soy). Doing all soy made her very constipated so we do 1 scoop soy 2 scoops regular and it has helped a lot.

It’s actually common to mix formulas.. my daughter’s preemie formula(only comes in milk based)makes her stomach upset she pukes the whole bottle up,(she’s mainly breastfed but has to a supplement once a day) anyways she can’t just have regular formula and she’s lactose intolerant, so they said get soy formula and mix it with her preemie formula so she’s still getting her extra calories but it’s not harsh on her stomach..

Just put her on whatever helps her belly more.

I had to change from regular formula to rice and the doctor suggested mixing for the first few days which I did and it worked well ... but if baby takes the new one without problem there is no need to mix

I most definitely would NOT mix formulas, just start giving her what you think is best
