Do you enjoy breastfeeding?

There are glorious moments. When she makes eye contact and smiles, when she settles on the breast after nothing else will calm her, when she closes her little hand around my nursing bra like "don't go anywhere, mom."     But there are also sucky moments. Plugged ducts, thrush, when she yanks the nip, low supply, being the only one who can get up for night feeds.  I have a love/hate with breastfeeding.

It’s a chore and a blessing. Sometimes I wish I didn’t have to but I love not needing to make a bottle! Just whip it out and feed her lol

It’s a labour of love for sure. It took me a while, I hated it at the beginning and wanted to give up daily, but now the storm has passed I love it. Sometimes she’s so unsettled and only the boob will help, that makes me feel awesome! I had to include bottles for top ups and it was such a pain compared to just putting her on the breast. Don’t get me wrong, I have major sleep envy as I am the one that gets up but I still enjoy it.

I really miss breast feeding. My supply dried up on its own after about 6 weeks even though all I did was breast feed and pump. I was so sad.. I miss the bond and, well, the boobs😂 with my next one I will do absolutely all I can to keep my supply up.
