Drinking while TTC?

Question

Ladies thoughts on enjoying a few cocktails while ttc? 
For my first I cleansed my body for almost 2 months before TTC.  This time around we have a wedding upcoming and I’m debating having a few drinks. 
I’m very torn because I know many women have drinks before they get a positive pregnancy test including a few who weren’t trying therefore didn’t find out for a few months and continued as they would normally. 
Also those of you who opt out, how do you keep your pregnancy secret (if you do) before the “safe time”?

Drink til it’s pink! My dr says it’s ok while ttc. If you do get pregnant during your tww, it is way way way too early for baby to share anything from you. Your life should not change for something that has no end date. I drank my glass(es) of wine after work and on the weekends. Also, pretty sure we conceived our girl after a full day of tailgating and drinking at a concert. 
Ttc is stressful enough. Have those cocktails. Good luck!!!

Do NOT drink while ttc! Please!!!!!! I’m a foster parent. I have had kids in my home with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. It is terrible! It is permanent brain damage that can never be fixed or corrected. Every woman is different and they can not pinpoint how much is too much alcohol, so the rule is no booze! Google Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS/FASD). It is not worth the risk.💖

Do a little research before you listen to people saying drinking is okay. Some doctors still say it’s prob okay to have a drink or two here and there, but they have not been able to pinpoint when or how much is too much. What might be fine for one mom or even one Pregnancy, may have severe side effects for your child. Even twins sometimes react differently to the same alcohol exposure. Drinking when you are between cycles is okay, but if you may have conceived and are waiting for your positive test PLEASE don’t drink! I know moms that had a few drinks before knowing they were pregnant. Their kids will never have a normal life because of something they did unintentionally. Imagine the guilt of knowing you caused brain damage to your child, so you could knock a few back? Maybe consider your priorities and skip a cycle if you need a drink that badly.
Seriously, do some research. Kids with FAS/FASD can rarely live independently because their mom had a few drinks. It’s a huge epidemic and sooo sad, because it’s preventable!!!
