Car seat Install - timing?

So when are you installing the car seat? I feel like i have forever (due March 10th) but I also feel like it’s like tomorrow... thanks for the wisdom

I’m doing it about a month before I’m due. The chances of getting into an accident before the birth are much smaller than the chances of my frazzled husband installing it incorrectly either before heading to the hospital or right before we need to leave. (And this will be our second child)

I was told not to do it until we are on our way to the hospital in case we get in an accident, we'd have to replace the seat 😔
I feel like I'd have bigger problems if I got in an accident than replacing a car seat. Lol. My insurance will cover the replacement so I'll probably do it in 2 weeks (due 3/9).

I put the baby seat in the truck the other night. Stay ready to keep from getting ready.

You can put the base in and leave the seat out until your in labor.

Also due March 10 and going to install next week. I delivered at at 37 weeks my last pregnancy. I am lucky thought and my husband is a certified car seat installer lol

Install the base now and put the car seat next to your hospital bag :)

I installed mine at the beginning on January , I’m due March 22nd. It’s winter here so i did mine on one of our nicer days where it wasn’t too cold. I just have the base in the car, the seat is in the baby room until it’s time.

They keep talking about inducing me early, so I put the base in just Incase it happens. I’m 32wks. I’ll be prepared!!

the hospital I'm delivering at actually told me to put it in the truck and will help my husband install when we are ready to leave for home when they check the carseat. I was very relieved seeing as it has been 8 years since he installed his first carseat!
