D&E today

My little love was due August 13. Instead of heading to the hospital in August excited to meet our babe, I drove to the hospital at what was supposed be 12 weeks 3 days to have my lifeless baby removed from my womb.

I woke up yesterday so excited for my 12 week scan. Ready to have the blood test to determine my baby’s gender. But I got the worst news a mother can get. My baby only measured 8 weeks 2 days and no longer had a heartbeat. I had just seen my baby and heard his or her heartbeat last month at 7 weeks so I was shocked. How could this happen?

My first pregnancy (after a year ttc) was also a miscarriage but at 6 weeks. And my body took care of it naturally. About a month later I got pregnant with my now 14 month old daughter who I am so grateful for. Having this baby’s remains sent off for testing to see if we can get some answers.

Feeling lost, confused, and heartbroken.
