Anemic??

Is there anyone that has become anemic since pregnancy?? My dr called and left a voicemail and said my blood platelets were elevated and they wanted to run some more tests. I looked that up and anemia seemed to be a common problem with elevated platelets. If you have it can you share symptoms?? Thanks

Did your dr only say that your platelets were high? Or did he also say you hematocrit/hemoglobin/rbc count was low? Platelets are the portion of your blood that is responsible for clotting. High platelets would not automatically mean anemia.

I was anaemic before getting pregnant I am on ferrous fumurate but am not liking the side effects😑 it can be common to have anaemia when pregnant my mum and grandma were and my best friend. you will likely come off the iron after giving birth

Became anemic in last trimester, I've been put on a couple different iron pills, they all make me very nauseous. I've been eating lots of nuts/seeds that are high in iron and taking the pills every couple of days to try and elevate my iron. The only symptom I would really identify is exhaustion, but I was already tired before lol
