Cleaning products help.

I just moved in to my new apartment and I was cleaning the bathroom with some Clorox hydrogen peroxide wipes. I just wiped down the toilet with them and Then I cleaned the toilet bowl with "The Works" toilet bowl cleaner and the it looked like steam started rising from the bowl so I shut the lid. What happened? Is that normal?
