Did you go in for a blood test after a BFP?

I took 2 very positive pregnancy tests then called my doctor and scheduled an appointment at 8 weeks. But should I go in to just get a blood test to confirm everything or is that just a waste of money and I should wait until my 8 week appointment?

I had blood tests twice a week initially and then weekly until I saw bub and heart rate on ultrasound at 8 weeks. The testing is free here and I’m higher risk, very glad I did it!

I scheduled a blood test just for peace of mind. Probably unnecessary but just the way I am.
