Just curious to see how many people share their pregnancy on social media and when. Also please comment with your reasoning.

Not posting it anywhere. It's better to live a life and not have everyone's opinion in the way. Even if they would be happy I'd rather just keep it all word of mouth and close friends and family members.

I plan on sharing on social media because we have no friends or family within 2k miles so fb is the only way we can continuously keep up with eahothers lives. I was planning on announcing after week 12 was over but I'm 13 weeks tomorrow and have no desire to. I have Hypermesis, pregnancy induced hyperthyroidism  and gestational diabetes and I just feel crappy so I'd rather wait til I feel better

I don't like that some people seem to think stuff is only "real" if it's shared on social media. Plus I think it's way more fun to tell people in person or individually by text

I waited until we had my step son again which was at 15 weeks, if we were to announce before than, his mother would've told him. Back when we got married a year ago, she texted my husband telling him she knows why we got married & it's because I was pregnant... really cause that's a surprise to us. Turns out she told her son I was pregnant during that time.... so when we did announce AFTER ACTUALLY BEING pregnant, he said he already knew 🙄

We announced on New Year's Day. We were 13 weeks and 5 days. After two miscarriages we were thrilled to be able to announce. I'm not on social media but my husband is. We don't have much family that is close so we were excited to share with everyone!

I found out I was pregnant in September and didn’t announce on social media until after Christmas. I really don’t care to post big life updates immediately. My husband and I prefer to tell our family and meaningful friends in person. We then announced the pregnancy to the 120 people on our Christmas letter list. Then later on we announce on social media so people know. Most of my friends announce way earlier, but that’s just not our style
