I'm so embarrassed...but more concerned about my unborn child. I'm 40 weeks into my pregnancy and just waiting to go into labour... I was diagnosed with genital hsv1 when I was 8 months pregnant with my first child. I've been on antivirals since 36 weeks this pregnancy and yesterday I didn't wear underwear because I was just lounging at home in my pjs... the left side of my vagina feels different... a bit sore/irritated... idk if it's friction from not wearing pants or signs I'm having an outbreak or shedding the virus.. there are no blisters, no red spots or redness... I also don't have much experience with outbreaks as I've only ever had 1 ,3 years ago... can anyone let me know if they've had similar symptoms and what it was, if you were able to deliver vaginally and if the baby was healthy..? My main concern is the wellbeing of my child and I don't want to jeopardize his health for anything. I would appreciate any information you ladies could give me. Thank you soo very much.
