Ring on string test... Was it right?

Have you done this test to later find out that it said the gender you are having.
My mum did it with me, my sister and my brother and each time was correct.
Just wondering if was right for most people here too

We did the pencil test where you use a wooden pencil, stick a needle in the eraser with a string tide to it, spin the pencil and it moves in the way of what your having first, how many ect.. WRONG-- "he" is a little girl😀
