I am 11 weeks today. Has anyone dyed their hair while pregnant or in their first trimester? Is it harming the baby? New mom here. Lol. Thanks in advance for your responses.

I did and baby is doing just fine.

I wanted to dye my hair my natural brown because I has been bleaching it blonde and didn't want my roots showing. I figured I would dye it brown again and call it one and done.

Be forewarned though the excess hormones cause your hair to take the color funny. Mine for example turned out nearly black.

Just make sure you are in a well ventilated area and try to avoid getting it on you scalp as much as possible but don't worry if you do.

I've been reading a lot, mostly because I'm paranoid that im doing everything wrong. But most of what I've read from " what to expect while expecting" said that it isn't harmful since you don't absorb too much of the dye. It also said if you're concerned then try just getting highlights since that doesn't usually go to the scalp. Of course you can always consult with a doctor.

I would ask your doctor, I've always been told not too. But the only way to know for sure is to ask.
