burning sensation

I am roughly 6 weeks today, I haven't been to a doctor yet. I have an appointment on the 8th. But I have been having a slight, non painful burning sensation on the lower left side of my abdomen. The best way to explain it would be the feeling you get the day or so before you get you visit from AF. Is this something I should hurry to get checked out. This is my first and I worry.
