any Hawaiians?!

I am Hawaiian, but i’ve never been to the islands. :( I finally found a way i could connect with my heritage and live on the islands, but i’m not sure what to expect. I’m planning on attending Hawaii Pacific University. I’m applying next month, and i’m super nervous! I’ve always wanted to meet and experience my heritage, but i’m only 16 so i couldn’t exactly travel there with out any family waiting for me (im adopted by a white couple, my birth parents are Hawaiian but i have no idea who they are, neither do my adoptive parents.)
