Need advice
I have a decision to make and I am wondering what other people think. I lost my beautiful little girl at 18weeks 4days gestation back in September. At the time I was told is was an incompetent cervix. I was also told my two fibroids that were the size of golf balls were basically crowding the baby out. I had those removed in December and am pregnant again I am 14 weeks Thursday. I am with a new high risk doctor now and after going over the full history of my last pregancies issues he thinks I it is more likely I went into early labor because my fibroids started to die, and the chemical they release when they degenerate can cause contractions. He thinks there is only a 25% chance I have an incompetent cervix. The doctors will still place one if I want it and the sooner the safer. But I am freaked out because what if I am one of those 10% of women who loses thier baby because of complications from a cerclage and I didn't need it. Or worse what if I do have an incompetent cervix and I loose my baby because I waited to long... Any advice or thoughts, experience? My appointment is Thursday to check my cervix.
