Need feedback!

On CD 55 with no period. Doc wants me to do 3-6 months of the pill to “reset” This is the first time since being pregnant 2 times b4 that Aunt Flo hasn’t been on time. She called in Provera to take for 10 days and then she wants me start the pill the day Provera induces my period.

Couldn’t I just take bc pills for a week and stop them to induce a period. Then do the 3-6 months on the pill. I’m familiar with the pill and have taken it since I was 19 and I’m worried about possible side effects.

What do you all think?
