Did your baby ever like or use a baby swing?

I need help in deciding whether I should purchase a swing for when baby is born, I've heard a lot of people say their babies hated it but my family is saying all theirs loved it so I'm having difficulty deciding. Thankyou for your help!

The swing is the only way I get anything done lol it’s the only thing my daughter will sit in for any amount of time

I got one for 20 bucks on the letgo app. So if baby hates it, I'm not losing all that money. I was a nanny for 10+ years and ran into babies on both side of the divide, so the last thing I want is someone spending all that money on a swing for my shower when they could be getting me something a little less expensive and just as nice

if the swing chair sits up and isn't like a cradle laying down it will help with acid reflex. my son would only sleep in his swing until he was 4 months old. then he hated it😂

It was a waste of space for us personally, my daughter preferred a bouncer which is much cheaper and takes up less space

i got a portable swing and loved it. it was small and portable so i could move it aroubd house. baby took naps in it when he was younger and always soothed him. now at 5 months he sits in it and i give him toys and hes happy still in it
