Tips for curly short hair?

I have been struggling trying to keep my hair pretty and not exploded.. Do you have any cream that you recommend?

i just put conditioner in then rinse and comb the hair in the shower.

Use defining curl shampoos and conditioners and this is what happens to my curls when I use those products
