Mono/di or di/di?

Ev

I'm 10.5 with twins that I conceived via IUI. Since it was an IUI, I know that I ovulated definitely two, maybe three eggs. My babies each have their own sac so I have been assuming fraternal but at my last ultrasound in the gyno clinic, the doctor commented on the fact that both babies are within millimeters of each other in measurement and within beats of each other's heart rate, one is 175 and one is 172. Because of how similarly they're developing, he said there's a chance that they're identical and of course this launched me into worry about TTTS. Is there not a way to see the placenta(s) this early so I could at least know if they are mono/di or di/di? I have my first OB appointment on Tuesday, can they tell me more than the gyno clinic?
