Did metformin help you conceive?

My endocrinologist just put me on metformin after months of trying to figure out what’s wrong. He thinks it’s just PCOS and that going on metformin will help lower my testosterone levels to make it easier to conceive. I know this is a common treatment but what I really want to know is does it actually help?? We’ve been trying for about 6 months and I’m on my 2nd round of clomid.

Metformin alone helped me. I started metformin mid october 17. And got a Postive just a week ago..
It does work. Just give it some time. At least give metformin 3 months ....

I started with Clomid and that 1 cycle.didnt get a high enough progesterone to obulate. the next 3 cycles I had metformin added and progesterone levels increased with each round. It does help regulate your cycle. Unfortunately thiugh, I still haven't conceived. Have an appointment set with an RE in a few weeks.

for my first pregnancy i was on metformin 500mg x3 and within 6 weeks i was pregnant she is now 17 months old. trying for #2 now
