I’m 18 1/2 weeks pregnant with my boyfriends second child. We were together for a few months when we got pregnant but have been friends for over 9 years.

He has a 2 1/2 year old son already & a decent co-parent relationship with his mom.

He will talk about the nursery with me but that’s about it.

I brought it up to him last night & he said “no I’m not as excited as you but” and then I cut him off saying I’m not excited at all and it’s because I can tell he’s not.

He said he knows that it’s obvious and that he doesn’t show any excitement, but there’s some there.

I’m hoping after our gender scan on Monday, he will get more invested but I don’t think I can stay in this relationship if something doesn’t change.

Has anyone been in this situation? Did it get better? I need hope 😔
