Used cribs?

I've been searching for a crib & can't seem to find one within my budget. Would anyone recommend buying a used crib?

I got my first borns crib free from a relative. It was used by one or 2 of her kids. We just made sure there weren't any recalls on it, that everything worked safely, and the slats were at a safe distance so nothing would/could get stuck between them and cause injury. I plan in getting another used crib for this baby, following the safety guidelines for cribs. The only things I require new are a car seat and crib mattress. Everything else, clothing, bedding, stroller, bouncers and swings all that stuff can be used as long as it's in working condition.

There's an app called "offer up". I got my crib used for $50. I have literally bought ALL the baby items I could ever need or want and only spent $350 total. (Just as an idea my purchases include: crib, travel system *stroller, carseat, base*, extra carseat and base, 3 crib sets, bouncer, brand new mattress, bassinet, unopened diapers, and a couple outfits)

Don't see anything wrong with a used crib. As long as all things are there and the crib is safe 👍🏽👍🏽 should be completely fine.

We got ours from Craigslist. You can also try yard sales. Just google the model to make sure there are no recalls. People typically throw in the mattress for free. If that freaks you out you can buy a mattress cover that zips for less than $30. And if you go to a yard sale and bundle your purchase you can ask for a lower price to buy all of the items altogether. Just don't buy a car seat used.
