Period after tubes tied?

I know this sounds dumb but people have been telling me my periods are gonna be so much worse since I got my tubes tied but I don’t agree. Women who’ve had it done can you please shed some light! I haven’t had my first period yet.

I asked my dr about this. He said most women are used to lighter periods by using the pill. So when they get their tubes done and stop hormones, their periods are more 'normal' and they think it's heavier due to the tubes being done. ....but that's not the case.

I’m getting mine tied here next month. My doc advised me that if my periods where heavy before that I may not want to get tubes tied bc my period will go back to “normal”. Also said if I have issues with period afterwards I can still go on birth control to manage my period better.
