30 week appointment

So I just had my 30 week appointment and my fundal height is only 28 but then the doctor kept feeling around and asked if I’ve had pressure above my vagina and said that the baby’s head is lodged in my pubic bone which is where it will stay from now on and that’s probably why my fundal height is 28. He didn’t have any concerns but I can’t help but feel nervous because the baby is already “beginning” the birthing process. I know it will take some time for me to actually go into labor from this point but isn’t it kind of early for this to start or no??
