Husband Abusing Marijuana- What would you do?

My husband sales and uses marijuana. I will say that I’m not against marijuana use (although it’s not my thing and I don’t use it). I understand the medical benefits and feel that occasional use is fine. I’m not even against selling it. Pharmaceutical companies and doctors shove unnecessary medications down innocent people’s throats every day and don’t think twice. It shouldn’t be illegal (NC). 
HOWEVER, my problem is with constant use. My husband uses marijuana 24/7. He uses it before work, during work, after work, during the night, on the weekend, you get the point. I get so sick of his constant out-of-it attitude. He eats all the time, is overweight, and could do so much more with his free time. I know marijuana is not addictive but the lifestyle is. I can only imagine how much mental energy he would have for our unborn baby and myself if he were to be sober. 
Does anyone have experience with this? Did your spouse/ partner eventually stop? Did it get worse? Did you give in and forget about it? I’m almost at the point where I feel like I will leave my otherwise loving, caring husband if he doesn’t chill out with his habit. 😒 It’s just not the lifestyle I want to have. I am responsible, sober, active, etc. and don’t feel that it’s unreasonable to want a husband who is the same.

My fiancé was smoking weed many times a day, and doing all sorts of other drugs when we met. While marijuana is not physically addicting, anything can become an addiction. Your husband is clearly an addict and needs to seek help. Addicts will jump from one addiction to another (porn, drugs, sex, alcohol, and really anything else) until they solve the root of the problem rather than just the specific addiction. Luckily, my fiancé saw where he wanted to go with his life and was able to quit without professional assistance, but that's a rare occurrence. If your husband is not willing to seek help, I would strongly consider ending the marriage. My father was an addict and jumped around to and from nearly every addiction you can think of, and he didn't seek help until it was too late for my parents' marriage.

I know that feeling all too well but I couldn’t figure out a way to tell him how or why I don’t like it . But you hit the nail right on the head ! My fiancé wasn’t/isn’t overweight and I’m not pregnant yet but it’s just some things in a relationship a person needs and that partner can’t give it to them if they aren’t sober atleast 50% of the time (my opinion) . So yeah, I threatened him lol if he didn’t get it together I was out of here ! So then it turned into every now and then . . . And now he doesn’t at all . All I can say is hang in there , do some real hard thinking and reasoning , and let him know the relationship isn’t gonna get any better if somethings not done . (BUT DONT HANG IN THERE BC YOU THINK YOU HAVE TO) if he doesn’t come to his senses then basically like a told my fiancé (you love marijuana more than you love your family)🤷🏾‍♀️

Unfortunately we both smoke right after work/before going to bed and on weekends when we’re both off, we smoke in the morning, chill a bit, then smoke some more and then right before bed. My bf and I just like food lol but we both go to the gym, we’re bigger but we’re doing something about it! And we don’t munch on pure junk when we’re high lol maybe switch out his munchies for something a bit healthier and get him to be active a bit like go for walks or swims or idk lol and maybe mention that you understand he loves weed but you don’t want him to be high all the time 🤷🏽‍♀️

I smoke and my husband does too. we only do it at night when we are relaxing, or I do it whenever I don't have to drive. maybe try talking to him about smoking less. maybe ask him to smoke at night only. he can still be active and smoke. good luck.

Hang in there it does get better my bf was like this for the longest time, and I’m talking before work and during work and after work and weekends but now it’s every so often. I say Itll get better with time. I didn’t even have to say anything cause I didn’t care that he smoked cause it helped his anger. Now he’s just all in all good. 🤷🏼‍♀️💕

When I first got w my SO he had one whole year that he didn’t smoke. He was waiting on a drug test for work. But one day I said to him (which I regret) you can smoke here and there, as long as you can always go back to cutting it off again. Smh that same night he smoked and hasn’t stopped since. I smoked since high school, and don’t like it too much anymore. So I feel you girl! 
I’m sure having a brand new baby around the house will have him cut back and maybe even quit! Don’t loose hope lol 😆
