When will the pain end?!?!?

Give a girl some hope! I have a perineum tear that didn't require stitches (I have a midwife, and she doesn't like to stitch if it's cosmetic rather than muscular. If I would have had an OB, they probably would have recommended stitches, and I was a bit distracted by my little guy! I would have

agreed with just about anything at that point.) HOWEVER, the pain is for real. It just burns, and even hurts more when I lay on my left side for some reason. I empty 2 peri bottles when peeing, and just discovered that leaning forward with my hands on the floor helps too. I also still can't even sit! Is that normal?!?!? I'm 7 days PP today. When will it end?!?
