When is a good time to start buying baby clothes and other items?

We went out to eat at my favourite restaurant last night and I got the baby a onsie, my sister also bought one while she was on her senior trip in NY. But I'm waiting until after I find out the gender next week before I start really buying stuff.

Whenever you feel like it. I'm not having a baby shower, nor are we finding out the gender so I just buy as I go and when I see cute stuff I like.

In the second trimester, you don't want to do it last minute because u ll get very tired. Happy shopping!

We waited on the clothes until we found out the gender. We started buying wipes & all different size diapers, bottles, binkies, bath stuff ect. at about 12 weeks. After we found out the gender we started buying the stroller, car seat, clothes, swaddle blankets, more binkies, ect.

Currently pregnant at 27 weeks, have decided not to find out the gender till baby pops and haven't done any of the baby purchases. Trying to finish reorganizing our home to make some room for our little one.

I think there's no right or wrong time to shop.

I think it depends. Are you having a baby shower? I would wait to buy the clothes and diapering stuff til after the baby shower. As for the big ticket items, I would wait until closer to the 7th or 8th month of pregnancy. The reason why I waited is mostly because I was afraid of having a late term miscarriage. But, do whatever works for you!
