Letrozole with Gonalf?

Question

I'm about to start my third cycle of Treatments with an IUI and wondering if anyone has ever done Letrozole as well as Gonal F?

I haven't asked our doctor yet if this is an option, but wanted to see if anyone has done so? It's pricey, so I'm looking for feedback.

I just did a cycle with letrozole and gonal f.  I'm in my tww now but I had barely any side effects.

Hi! I had two unsuccessful rounds of clomid then was moved to letrozole and follistim injections. Monday I had my cd 18 scan (follies were too small on days 12 & 14) and I have three mature ones. I was given the trigger shot and am now not so patiently waiting for the next two weeks to fly by. For me, this seems to be the right combo of drugs but I know everyone is different. Our insurance is really good and only required like a $5 copay for letrozole and a $20 copay for follistim. Best of luck...

I did 2 cycles of IUI with letrozole (and several medicated cycles without IUI) before moving on to 5mg letrozole CD 3-7 plus 75 units Gonal-F CD 8-11. Yesterday at my day 11 scan I had 2 @ 20mm and 1 @ 17mm so I triggered last night, IUI Saturday! I feel really hopeful - I never had more than one 18mm+ follicle on letrozole alone. I pay $5 for letrozole and paid $200 for the Gonal-F but my insurance will reimburse 80% of that, so it's not too pricey for me. Good luck!! If you feel like you can handle the cost I would recommend it - I had no side effects from the Gonal-F which was great!

Best of luck on your wait! :) I'm begin my cycle all over again today so I'm going to ask about doing both!

Letrozole alone last cycle only gave me 1 decent follicle, so I'm hoping both meds will increase that, but not as much as Clomid did (I ended up with mild OHSS).
