Any one have a mole removed?

I'm having a suspicious mole removed from my back in about 2 weeks. They are making a football shaped incision not shaving.

Has anyone had this done? Did the biopsy come back as benign?

I had one removed from my back a few months ago. They numbed the area and the doctor cut it off and stitched the skin around it together. Left a scar, but I don't think it's a big deal. The doctor called me a few days later to say it wasn't cancer and that they had removed the entire mole. And about a week later, I had the stitches removed. It wasn't bad at all.  The only bad thing was my bandaid came off at work and I had to ask my husband (who works down the hall) to put a new bandaid on it. I couldn't reach it myself.

I had this done too. No big deal at all. My scars look like little butterflies. Try not to worry about it...you'll be okay! Good luck!

I had two removed as a kid as precautionary measures. They cut them out and burned the area. The scars are like sand dollars.. lighter than my skin with lines in them. They haven't changed and it's been 14 years.

I had the same thing on my back, it came back fine. I have a scar that's about the size of a nickel.

I had a big one removed from my upper arm when I was 11. Not a big deal. You have to change the dressing and apply ointment for several days, and there was a tiny bit of pain when cleaning around the stitches. But it's nothing major.

Mine turned out to be fine - no cancer.

Thanks everyone :) I had a large mole I can't remember ever not having removed at around age 16. The one on my back worries me because...well to be honest it's on my back so I'm not sure if it's new or if it changed.
