Does anyone else's cat drink from the toilet like a dog 😑

I'm wondering if anyone else's cat does this or if mine is just a weirdo 
Yes he has fresh cool water in his bowl all the time. Toilet water is preferred.

Mine likes stealing water. So glasses by the bedside, the pond, the washing up bowl and the toilet are all irrestible. His actual water bowl is almost always untouched unless he can't steal water from somewhere else.

my husband's cat will sit in the water dish. (she is long hair and he never brushes her) so it gets nasty so she jumps on the counters and will drink anything left out.... not to mention if the butter dish doesn't have it's lid on she will lick it..... and these are the minor things this prissy brat does.... she is lucky he loves her or she would be rehomed....

Most cats won't drink water from a bowl if it's near their food dish. They still have strong instincts and rely on not drinking water from a source near their "kill" since it could be contaminated.
Once we moved our water dish about 10 yards away from the food dish, our cat stopped stealing water from my glass. We got our second cat who only likes running water so we bought a stainless steel kitty fountain and keep it away from food...works like a charm!

My cat drinks out of my fish bowl. Regardless of how many water bowls I put around the house. I put a screen over it but he knocked it off. Luckily he likes the fish. The fish always comes out and swims to the top to greet him 😂

My one cat drinks out of everything. The water bowl, the toilet, the sink faucets, anything. The other cat sticks to the water bowl only.

My cats refuse to drink out of a bowl and will only drink out of the toilet or the sink if we leave it running a little bit 🙄🙄 it’s so annoying. We always make sure they have a bowl of fresh, cool water but they literally refuse to drink from a bowl and will tip it over and spill water everywhere no matter how many different water dishes I’ve tried.

Yes, the cats in this house also lick toothbrushes (so watch out for that, it's just... ew), I close the bathroom door to keep them from doing it.
