How much to drink before 12 week scan?

Hi ladies got my scan tomorrow feels like forever getting to this point. My friend who has two kids has told me to drink at least 2 litres, but I've read on numerous websites about 500ml or half a litre. Can anyone advise thanks

Usually the diagnostic imaging unit/centre that is conducting the ultrasound will give you specific instructions. The instructions I've always been given are to empty your bladder one hour before your appointment time and then drink 1 Litre of fluid over the next hour leading up to your appointment.

For your NT scan that's done at 12 weeks a full bladder is not needed. Dr's may require 16oz of water before your 20 week anatomy scan.
