wedding or no wedding?

so my entire family is in pennsylvania... my fiance's family is in louisiana. we've tossed around the idea of just going to the JP and getting married. financially, it would be cheaper and it would be so much less stressful. no planning for families that are 17 hours apart and we wouldn't have to spend an outrageous amount of money on 2 families staying in a hotel or wherever for a week. any opinions? I don't mind whether we have a wedding or not honestly. all my friends are in ohio and all his are in oklahoma/louisiana. it just doesn't seem very ideal for us to have a wedding.
