How do I know when the first breast is “empty”?

People say to let the baby finish the first breast before offering the other side. How do I know when the first breast is “empty” or finished? When the baby is still sucking but antsy/pouting/frustrated?

It never empties. But when baby pulls off usually the flow is too slow for their liking. Then put them on other breast. Just follow babies cues.

My son will pull off and re-latch a couple times before he fusses and I know that ones tapped out😂

Yeah when my flow gets too slow my guy starts turning his head & fussing.

Mine stops flowing milk at all even with hand expression to double check after about 25 minutes of feeding. Sometimes my little one gets it all out sometimes she only feeds for about 15 minutes but I can always tell because she spits out my nipple and gets frustrated.
