Combined pill whilst on implant

I’ve had the implant for around 4 months now and have had a few periods but the rest of the time I’ve had spotting, I went to the doctors and they gave me a combined pill to try and regulate my period and stop the spotting. I’ve only been taking it for about 4 days but I just wanted to hear anyone else’s experiences, has the pill stopped your spotting and regulated your period etc?
