Doctors

Have any of you had to/wanted to change doctors already? My husband recruits ER doctors and just so happened to look my OBGYN up. He found out that she has a lot of complaints from 20 years ago. Nothing since. He's adament that I switch doctors but how am I supposed to know if she (or any other doctor) is good enough when I've only seen her one time so far? Do I fault her for having complaints from so long ago? Any input is appreciated!
