D&C & TTC after

I just had a d&c done May 25th. We would really like to start TTC ASAP. My doctor said we could start trying as soon as 2 weeks after. He also mentioned that he prefers we wait until after my 1st cycle just so that we can know the exact time we conceived. I really want to just try now. Can you all just let me know if you have been through this and if so how long did it take for you to conceive again? Thanks in advance for all your comments!
