Last month this happened to me. I think I actually ovulated the second time I got the egg white cm, and not the first. I heard you can sometimes not ovulate during after the first leg surge, so your body tries again. This can make you ovulate later than you thought and can make a potential period come later as well. My last period was a week later than I was expecting which I how I figured out I ovulated the second time I had fertile cm.
