Problem

Me and boyfriend are in a long distance relationship, I’m in love with him and I’m trying to make it work even doe I have never done this before ,he’s my first serious relationship I’m 21 and he’s 23 we met a year ago and he moved away 2 months ago , well a couple weeks ago he came to visit and everything was great until the last day he was here were he left to party with his friends and then left the next day without saying goodbye to me I felt really hurt and that caused a big fight , that I know I could’ve handle it better we fixed that but since then everything now is a fight or annoyance towards each other , so two days ago he said he was confused and that he needed to think about us and that he needed space and I totally understand so I told him it was fine but then he confuses me because he keeps on talking and texting me and i don’t really know what to think of it . He says he loves me but could it be he’s more attracted to the sex we have instead of me ? I need some advice I don’t really want to lose him but I don’t want him to stay with me if he doesn’t love me anymore.
