HELP with appetite!!!

Tina • 41 year old sahm of 5

I really need to lose about 60 pounds. I started exercising on Monday and did it every day this week until today. It’s really hard because I have advanced degenerative arthritis in my knees (I’ll have surgery on the right one next Friday). I can deal with working out and I drink tons of water but I always feel like I am starving! I don’t want to take any diet pills and prefer to lose it naturally but eating all the time is having a negative effect on trying to lose weight. My weight is starting to adversely affect my health and putting extra stress on my knees. Any tips to help?!!!

I’m not sure how you feel about taking protein shakes, but I use Herbalife. I mix it with almond milk. You can’t even taste it. there’s a whole bunch of flavors for the shake mix. I lost 23lbs in 3 months, but I was only have 1 shake a day for lunch. I probably would have lost more if I did 2 shakes a day. I didn’t go to the gym at all. I watched what I ate and cut out the junk food and soda. The protein in the shake filled me up for a while and if I got hungry before dinner then I’d have some kind of fruit, yoghurt, or nuts. Something filling. It really helped me a lot!

Ketogenic diet. High fat, low carb. So lots of meats and cheese and green veggies. I keep 20 carbs a day or under.

Talk to your doctor about it. I don’t want to give you advice if it’s going to make your knees worse. I will say make sure you’re eating enough. You can never have too many vegetables in your diet.
