Fourth Degree Tear - Suppositories
I am one week PP and I had a fourth degree tear. I was extremely constipated even after stool softeners for my first bm after baby, so I used a glycerin suppository without thinking. My doctor said we can't use those after a fourth degree. Does anyone know what issues this would cause? Is it simply risk of tearing stitches when putting it in? Or is there something bad about the medicine on your wound?
