I’m a SAHM (but also interested in working mom opinions) and usually I’m with baby 24/7 however my parents will take him every few weeks on a Saturday from about noon until right before bedtime (6:00pm) and that’s when Hubby and get to do our deep cleaning and laundry and whatever else we can squeeze in. They also come over probably once a week to hang out so I could run to the grocery store for an hour, or just pee without sticking my head out the door the whole time.

Anyway, they’ve gone south for the winter as they alway do for a few months and I’m going insane! I didn’t realize how much I needed those small breaks and after two months alone and now two weeks with a sick baby I feel as exhausted as I did during the newborn stage!

Hubbys parents live a bit farther away, while I was complaining to them they offered to take him overnight to give us a break a few times before my parents get back and it made me feel a bit weird. I know they live too far to just take him for a few hours but my bad mom radar went off when they offered. 😥

So I’m wondering how frequently you guys get an hour or a day to grocery shop or clean your house without a baby attached to you?
