Pregnant and working?

Question

Has anyone told their job they are pregnant yet? If so how did you go about announcing it? I'm just nervous about my managers reaction and all the gossip that will start up, that I keep putting it off.

Usually people share news at work after 3 months. You most likely not even going to show at that time. First trimester has the highest risk of miscarriage. So I don't see why to tell the whole world. This is just my opinion. But everybody is different.

I told my boss yesterday by showing her my pregnancy announcement.  We are a very flexible company and can work from anywhere, though, so I wasn't as worried about telling her as I may have been at a typical company that works out of an office.

I told my managers that I work the most with. Since my pregnancy is still early (6weeks exact) I felt if anything does go on I'll need some time so I decided to tell them. Good luck!

I told my boss and a couple of my partners. I work in a jail/911 center so I needed to have someone watch my back a little more than usual!

I told my boss and a few coworkers because of morning sickness. I had a miscarriage in December (told the same people) and it made getting time off for the D&C and healing easier and question free. I also work outside on construction sites a lot. If I were to fall out on a job site I want one of my coworkers to know I'm pregnant (an extreme example but not an unrealistic one in my line of work).

I decided to not tell my manager, which also means not posting on Facebook till 12weeks. I've had really bad morning sickness and no one seams to notice me sneaking off to the bathroom a lot. They can track it and dock your hours. My managers are guys so they haven't noticed. Hopefully morning sickness will be gone by then and I can announce feeling better

I told everyone that I worked with plus my store manager. Everyone was excited about it especially my store manager. She's been wanting a baby for a while now lol she's considers my baby to be her baby as well. I told them as soon as I found out. My store manager ended up telling our district manager. They can't get upset with you for living your life. Your life doesn't stop just because you work.  Good luck on everything.

I've told a couple people. My direct boss and a couple I work with directly. Luckily my boss is my MIL so it helps. But I'm worried about th rumors with the rest 😁
